Blue Dragon Campus

Blue Dragon is set to create a vibrant and permanent new campus for Cardiff Sixth Form College, the number one independent school in the UK for A Level results for over a decade and committed to providing high-quality GCSE and A Levels education to UK and international students. This innovative campus will thoughtfully blend modern educational facilities with the historic charm of two Grade II listed buildings.

Students can look forward to spacious teaching areas designed to foster interactive learning, state-of-the-art lecture theatres equipped with the latest technology, a spacious exam hall for assessments, and a welcoming canteen where they can relax and socialize. In addition, a striking new four-story building will rise within the Cardiff Bay area, further enhancing the campus’s educational offerings and creating an inspiring environment for learning.

Merchant Place and the Cory Building, originally constructed in the late 1800s, are two of Cardiff’s most historically significant buildings. The project focuses on their careful preservation and conversion to safeguard their important heritage. A new multi-story building will be constructed in the rear courtyard, featuring an innovative auditorium on the roof that will offer panoramic views of the surrounding bay area. Once completed, the Blue Dragon campus will accommodate 500 pupils, with 400 of them housed in nearby boarding facilities.
